Does retroverted uterus cause sciatica?!
Question:
Does retroverted uterus cause sciatica?
pelvis MRI conclusion:enlaged retroverted uterus is seen more to the left side of the pelvis cavity that pushed and indents the rectum to the rihgt side with intrinsic small T2 hypointense lesion in the superior part of uterine myometrium consistent with small fibroid or ademomyosis
Answers:
From the sounds of that report it sounds like it could be involved since it is pushing the rectum over to one side. I'd also be worried about the lesion. These may be 3 separate health concerns. Sciatic, fibroid tumor, tilted uterus. A tilted uterus doesn't usually cause any problems except sometimes it can complicate conception. Fibroids most often don't cause complications unless they continue to enlarge but the fact that you're now having sciatica makes me wonder if the tipped uterus could be involved somehow. You really need to talk to our doc and possibly get a second or even third opinion. I think it could be interpreted differently by different doctors or specialists.
