Can an increase in discharge be a result of changes in hormone levels?!

Question:

Can an increase in discharge be a result of changes in hormone levels?

I am 21 years old and recently became sexually active with my boyfriend. Neither of us have any STDs but I have experienced an increase in the amount of discharge I have. I have no itching, burning nor swelling, in fact everything is normal except the amount of discharge. When it started increasing it was clear to white, not really an odor. It then became thicker and still white, but now it turns a bit yellow when it dries (in panties).

I did notice that my period symptoms increased after I became sexually active (heavier, and worse cramps) but it's remained stable, and my mother said that it's because of a change in hormones.

I was wondering if the increased discharge could be from a change in hormones as well, since the increase is the only symptom?

Answers:

sounds like exactly what you said, more hormones and you probably are JUICY too
