What is the best way to shave 'down there' without getting red bumps and/or soreness? I shave all of it...and need to figure out a better way to remove the hair, painlessly and effectively.

lol.. get into a warm bath - that usually softens the hairs and relaxes the follicles.
next, use a lady-shaving gel and a good, sharp women's razor, and VERY carefully shave away. i recommend Gillette's Lady Venus - love the swivel head. :O)
shaving in the direction of the hair growth will make it sting less later. if you want it really smooth, shave in the direction of the growth first, then go over it again against the direction of growth.
be sure to moisturise after. there are also hair-softening creams available (i use Sothys) to make your hair finer and softer.
and unfortunately, i don't know how to alleviate the itching when it grows back. ;O) good luck!
