Tubligation?!
Question:
Tubligation?
How long does the procedure take and is there any recovery time involved? Do they put to sleep?
Answers:
The procedure time varies, depending on which method is used, through the vagina or through the bellybutton. Basically, several hours of surgery. Healing time shouldn't be more than two weeks without complications. Anesthesia is used.
A new procedure called Essure (tubal occlusion) has been developed. It requires no incisions, no anesthesia, and has a recovery time up to 48 hours. The procedure can be done in less than an hour. You may want to research that to see if it's right for you.
