Why am I feeling so tearful?! Is it this new contraception?!?

Lately I have been welling up at the most silly things, not just sad tears but of joy aswell, it 's kind of like when I have PMT except I don't have PMT! I got the mirena coil fitted a few months ago and that has been messing around with my periods and giving me spots, do you think it could be it?
