Dropping Hemoglobine?!

Question:

Dropping Hemoglobine?

Dear all, I have a question. In the past 6 months I have had 3 blood tests done and everytime I have one myhemoglobine drops. It was 13.5 the first time, then 11.5 and the last one I did yesterday showed 10.2 hemoglobine.I have also started a diet of 1300 calories and started working out at gym. It seems that the more overweight and unhealthy I am, the more hemoglobine I have. Can you think of a reason? Thanks!

Answers:

You're starting to get into a dangerously low area for your hemoglobin. 7.0 is considered critical. I assume you're seeing a doctor about this. You clearly have a condition that is causing anemia and further investigation is warranted. You might just not be getting enough iron or there could be more serious reasons for this. You need to get this resolved.
