Who has had side effects with the Mirena IUD?!
Question:
Who has had side effects with the Mirena IUD?
My daughter is six weeks old, and I want to get one put in (we are undecided as to whether or not we want more children, so, we want to leave the option open). My doctor told me that this would be a reliable method of BC, because I was irregular in the first place.
I'm worried about side effects, though. I tend to have mood swings quite easily, and want to know if anyone else has experienced this (or any other unpleasantness associated with the IUD).

Since getting the Mirena most of my "symptoms" from my cycle have drastically reduced or disappeared. My husband use to be able to predict, before I could, when my time was coming because of my mood swings. These days he has no idea when it's coming. The only symptoms I have left from menstruation and pre menstruation are fatigue, occasional lower back pain, and breast tenderness.
It has been a wonderful experience for me, especially since I was very irregular my whole life.
