PCOD issues - when do they end?!

Question:

PCOD issues - when do they end?

I am turning 24 now, but I have had irregular periods since I was 17. I got my 1st period when i was 13. For four yrs I had no issues, but I guess with high school exams, the tension built up and I missed my period for like 3 months. I didn't take it seriously then soon enough I started noticing that I was getting facial hair. My facial hair just incresaed over years followed by the frequency of the painful removals. I started taking birth control pills and glycophage, but noticed that I started gaining weight. SO I eventually completed the course and stopped it. I tried some homeapathic medicenes which did work for awhile. Latest ultra sound, was pretty clear, but I continue to miss one month period every month, the month that I get it is always painful accompanied with diorehea. I just seem to give up very easily, I have serious mood swings, confidence levels are low. Sliding into depression like a coward seems like the option.

Answers:

i believe that the glycophage is not what caused your weight gain, you should speak to your doctor about being put on it regularly, and without birthcontrol, as birthcontrol leads to weight gain.

but the best idea is to ask your doctor about your concerns.
