Do you have to be a certain weight to get your first period?!
Question: Do you have to be a certain weight to get your first period?
Around what weight is that?
Answers:
It isn't a weight, it's a body fat percentage. You need about 12% body fat to menstruate normally. You could weigh a lot but be all muscle so you don't get a period (which happens to a lot of athletes) or you could be skinny but be all fat and no muscle. The only way to know is to find out your body fat percentage from the doctor (or there are some online calculators that use various body measurements)
It comes when it comes.
