chronic illnesses such as Rheumatoid arthritis.
Answers:
That's a tough one, I would have to say having a chronic illness because everyday it would be a struggle getting up knowing I was going to be miserable and stay miserable until I die. At least in a wheelchair I would be healthy, and I could work around my handicap, but to be in pain is a really tough thing to go through on a day to day basis.
well my answer may be swayed one way because i have many chronic illnesses one being RA since i was 9. but in my opinion i think a chronic illnesses is worse than being wheelchair bound because with chronic illnesses you have a lot of pain then with having to use the wheelchair there are still things you can do. you can still do sports with other people that are handicapped then with chronic illnesses you can't do anything like that.
They are both the same type of situation, so none is worse then the other.
I USE a wheelchair. I am NOT in, on, bounded, or confined to one! I was born with spina bifida.
I have a chronic illness.. mono!
chronic mono sucks
Any degenerative disease is the worst. At least the wheelchair bound person can move of his own volition.
