Question: Im 12 and all of my friends have started their periods but i haven't!?
every girl in my family started their periods at 11 and i am nearly 13 and all my m8's call my baby bear im a size 34a bra i have hairy legs and under arms i also have hair down their and please could some one try and tell me why i havent started yet !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's perfectly normal! You are only 12!. The mean age for menarche (first period) in the UK is 12 years and 11 months!. A girl can start her periods anywhere between the ages of 9-16!.
There is no way of knowing when you will start exactly!. Just enjoy your time without it!. There is nothing medically wrong that you haven't started yet!. Don't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agonized over this too when I was young!. I was almost 16 when I started!. I now have three children, my last one was conceived when I was 36!. All are healthy, all pregnancies good!.
I am wondering now if a late start means a late finish!? I am almost 53 now and my reproductive organs think they're 18!
I believe everyone is different when it comes to this!.

your completely normal!. girls tend to start their periods around 9- 16!.
some one i know started when they were 14!.
if you have hair then that's a sign of you starting!. the same thing happends to me !. so you'll differently starts it !.
Just dont worry about it!.
its pressuring for you that everyone around you have started i understand that!. but think of your self and about your body !. your body will know when to start and your time is nearly thier!. so dont stress out !. you got years untill you can start!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i got mine at 11!. It just happens!. You could get it at 17 or you could get it tomorrow!.!!! But enjoy still being a girl while you can :)

You can start your periods anytime up to the age of 16!. You will start when your body is ready to!. If you have not started when your 17 then go to your doctor so they can see if there is anything wrong!. When you get them you will regret getting them trust me!. But for now just enjoy not having to deal with that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started at 11, my cousin started a 9, my mum started around 13 - it varies completely though there may be some similarities!. Don't let it bother you!. Ignore your friends taking the mick; you'll start really soon & its not like your really physically immature compared to them so what does it matter!? he me too, all of my friends have gotten theirs and not me i hate it so much!. i feel like ill never get it!. i get a lot of discharge!? thats a sign that its coming!. wow we are like twins!!!! i have the same problem!. i hope we get ours soon
