I screamed!. I was eleven!. I knew all about it and everything, but I wasn't really expecting it, I hardly had any boobs or anything after all I was only in the fifth grade!. My mom came into the bathroom thinking I was like, dying or something and then started laughing and helped me out!. Then she called half the women in my family and told them!. And then my grandmother came over and gave me a present (my family is weird!.) Anyway it wasn't too scary, I just remember my mother crying a bunch because I was a woman now and all that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Most girls who know about it are sort of excited to know that "it" has finally happened for them, many are a bit perplexed or a little scared/nervous about how to deal with it (pads/tampons!., leakage, different smell!.!.!. stuff like that)!.!.!.

embarrased i was only 10! but you're gonna be excited just cause you're all prepared (: go get tampax pearl variety pack tampons!. some pads and midiol!.
use the pads at school when you feel it comming and when it comes use light tampons (: if you feel headache cramps etc take midiol and you can also use a heating pad

I was in california and we went to go do some touristy things and the entire day i had the WORST stomach ache ever!. Then that night we went out to eat for my brother's birthday and i went to the bathroom and BAM, it was there!. i was scared shitless but my mom was totally relaxed nad not embarassing about it so it was very nice :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Kind of excited and embarrassed!. I was kind of like, "oooh god i REALLY don't want to deal with all this now!. Gross!" But it's not that bad!. U just need to make sure u know when your next 1 is coming so u don't get stuck at school without a pad!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am the first one in my group of 10 or so friends!
I am in 7th grade
I was on vaca!. with my mom
i didn't want my period to change our plans, we were supposed to go on a fishing trip with ppl we no, no bathroom, we wer the only women!!!!
so i waited until the day after we got home, about 4 or five days after it began, and told her!. she hugged me and said something like "and u didnt tel ur mom!!?" I was REALLY hungry a few days before, and had a few pimples!. I pluck my eyebrows bcuse they grow to much inward, and they were growing like CRAZY!

i went on beinggirl!.com and got all the info b4 telling my mom!.!.!.!. I was SOOOOO nervous!
I had to go on a 4-5 hr flight!.!.!.!. and i had killer headaches!.!.!. luckily it was light to i could make pads from t!.p!.
I have had to lie to my friends!.!.!.!. :(
