im 14!. and i just got what looked like my period but im not sure!. (its my first time!. it was a really dark brown, didn't smell and it was thick!. i tried putting a tampon in but it was too dry so it hurt alot!. arent periods supposed to be wet!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your periods will be irregular for the first year or so!. The color and consistency does not have to be the same, either!. If you're 14 and this is your first period, I would suggest that you try pads at first, until you get used to knowing when to change it!. You can get toxic shock syndrome if you leave a tampon in too long!. Unless you are very confident of what you're doing and have been doing this for a while, I wouldn't use them that often, if I were you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They usually are!. Since this is your first period, it's probably not as heavy as it would be!. Typically the blood is bright red and you make see a few clots if you're wearing pads!.
Use regular tampons with plastic applicators at first!. Next time, wear pads until you get bright red blood- that means it's more liquidity inside your vagina and the plastic applicator will slide in easier!.

Yeah!.!.!.try a pad for the first time!.!.!.tampons can be tricky!.!.!.the wet period you are kind of expecting may well start very soon or you may just get this browny stuff the first time!.!.!.!.both are normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
