Everyone experiences a form of sleep paralysis every single time they go to sleep!. It's the preparation for the dream state, so you don't act out your dreams!. If you get woken in that state, it's possible for the brain to take a few moments to reset matters to give you back conscious control!. It's nothing to be afraid of, and nothing to lose sleep over!. It's a perfectly natural process of your body!. All you have to do is remember to give your brain time to reboot things, and stay calm while that happens!. It generally doesn't take more than a minute or so, though it can feel longer!. In the meantime, all your essential functions, like breathing and heartbeat are still functioning!. That's controlled elsewhere, and isn't affected unless you panic!. So stay calm, and now go to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

happens to me ever so often, and it is down right scary!. I find that it only happens when I sleep on my back, but not when I sleep on my side or stomach!. My doctor told me that it is because I am getting in a very deep sleep and when I wake up I am still in a dream state and not fully conscious!. It is SOOOOOOO scary though!. If you remember what position you woke up in, try not to sleep in that position again-- that might be what is causing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

got news for you, sleep paralysis happens to everyone, everytime they sleep!. It's a protective mechanism, and trust me you don't want it to go away!. Your problem was waking too soon!. You may want to ask a doctor about a sleep study if you keep waking too soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get it too!. Go back to bed you will be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com
