Question: Being a virgin and a gyn exam!?
i have to have a gynecological exam tomorrow b/c i am having some problems!. But i'm 20 and a virgin, will it hurt because i am a virgin!? what should i expect!? i am TERRIFIED!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

aww really wow i wished i couldve hung on mine that long but im not a virgin and the **** hurts not when they spread it open cuz that doesnt hurt at all the only thing that hurts is when they get the swab and stick it in your vagina canel and when they scrape skin cells its painful for one sec!. thats it! but besides that it'll be quick and fast and its very healthy your finally getting one i got mky first one when i was 16 and the first time was quick and easy ITS JUS MOSTLY UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE A DOCTOR IS LOOKING AT YOUR VAGINA BUT YOU'LL BE FINE SWEETIE! it wont hurt bad at all ! PROMISE !!!

The doctor will ask you to place your feet in the foot rests at the end of a table!. Let your knees and thighs spread wide open and relax!. The more relaxed your muscles are, the more comfortable your exam will be!. The doctor will look at your vulva for any symptoms of irritation, growths, cysts, genital warts or discharge!. You will feel your doctor's hands touching your vulva!.
Next, your doctor will use what is called a speculum, a plastic instrument, that will be gently inserted into your vagina!. The speculum spreads the vaginal walls slightly apart so that the cervix can be seen to see if it looks healthy!. If you feel pain let the doctor know so the speculum can be adjusted!.

I was a virgin when I had my first pelvic exam and believe me, it was not bad at all! I was pretty nervous at first, but the actual exam only took 5 minutes at the most!. I have a male gyno and he is so gentle and understanding!. He walked me through the entire process, since it was my first time!. Don't worry you'll do just fine, trust me :) It was not painful at all, just slightly uncomfortable!. Good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com
Make sure you let the Gyn know your a virgin!. I believe they do something different!. Whenever i've gone in for a problem, they usually just check me out from the outside because i'm too a virgin, and terrified of the exam!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
