Question: Really long first period!? Help!!!!!!
I got my first period midnight of the 23rd and it didn't end until august 3!?
what is going on!? Is it a syndrome or something!? I am really afraid I might have Fibroids because I read that online and I just generally worry that something is always wrong even if I feel fine!. I am only 12 ( 13 in 6 days!!) all I want to know is if a long first period if normal Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, sweetie, were you able to talk to a female family member or friend about this!?
If you feel fine, then you should not be worrying!. It is your first period and your body is just adjusting to different hormone levels!.
You did not mention how heavy your period was, so that leads me to believe that it was light to normal, which is nothing to worry about at your age!.
However, if your period continues in to last for more than 5-7 days, or it becomes heavier, I would definitely talk to someone you trust!.

Don't worry you are freaking out over nothing!. Trust me!. I got my first period when I was 11 and it was a longer period!. You're periods will most likely be irregular for the next few months maybe even years!. They could be long or short and sometimes you may not get it every month!. This is when you first start out!. I didn't get on a real schedule until three years after my first period!. It's nothing trust me!. It's just your body working through puberty and getting used to the changes!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
My mother always told me that a period is supposed to last 3-7 days!. When I was 12 my period lasted me about 7 days!. My mother was a gynecologist so I took her word for it!. But since it is your very first period I dont think you should worry about it so much but if it bothers you should talk to your parents about it, it would be best if you went to a gynecologist!. She/He can tell you and explain to you exactly what the problem is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well that isn't good! For women over the age of 16 and have not had a period!.!.!. you all might have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome!.!. I do! I just discovered it because i haven't got my period and I am 24!. That is normal!. Its your first period which means your period will be irregular for a long time until your body gets used to it!. The first time is usually like that as well as the next few periods!. Don't worry it will be normal sooner or later!. That happened to me at first but now as time has gone my period is getting shorter and shorter!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, this is normal!. because ur body hasnt adapted to the cycle of the period!. its trying to choose which day it wants its starting point to be, and the ending point to be!. and ur period isnt always going to start on the same day every month!. so if it skips a day or two, its normal!. but if ur period keeps going too long, make sure to see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Because it's your first, sometimes it can be longer (or shorter) than it should be!. Wait until your next one, and if it's still abnormally long, ask your parents to make you a gynecologist appointment!. You're probably completely normal!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually when you first start, it tends to be irregular!.!.!. My very first one was 6 days I think, and now it's 4!.5 to 5!.!.!.

To my knowlegde!.!.!.Periods usually last around 1 week!.!.!.And also EVERYONE is different!.!.!.You may just be a bit different!.!.!.If i goes on for 5 days more than i should i reccommend the Doctors phone #!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well first periods are really weird because the discharge is really light so it takes a while for all of the blood to come out!. Don't worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
