Tampon question..?!
Question: Tampon question!.!.!?
Is it safe to put a bit of petroleum jelly or Vaseline on the tampon so it goes in easier!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
I had the same problem with tampons!. My ob-gyn was horrified when he heard that I only use tampons for my period, they caused me rashes/discomfort and even health issues!. You shouldn't use other substances as they can (and probably will) affect the sensitive skin in your vagina, especially if it's exposed for longer periods of time!.
If you can't/don't want to go off the tampon (and I can understand why you wouldn't want to, as someone who has used them for years), you should at least use pads at night or when you don't have to go out!. This is a natural and healthier way of restoring the natural substance balance in your intimate area and you will also be lubricated enough to insert a tampon for an important date or when you want to wear those white pants :)
Alternatively, you can use a bit of water to lubricate it, but no vaseline!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you can use vaseline on the tip to help insert it!.
Use this with plastic applicators, they work great!
(Tampax pearl lites are also a great start for new tampon users)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't use Vaseline for that area, only water-based lubricants like KY or Astroglide, etc!.
Using Vaseline can cause vaginal infections by trapping bacteria in there!. Also, if the tampon is coated in Vaseline, it won't absorb much as Vaseline is pretty water-repellent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if its that hard to put up in side, you are possiblly using a size too big!. try the small ones!. once you get used to it go to regular!. it sounds like maybe you are clenching!.!.relax those muscles girl!. i dont think a small amount of vaseline will hurt, just dont coat it!. or use some ky (small amount)Www@Answer-Health@Com
probably not!. You dont want to stick anything up there that you would make your eye sting because it can be just as sensitive as your vagina!. if anything, put some water up there (not on the tampon obviously)
Hope that helps! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use K-Y jelly!. It's safe to use for that purpose :0)
Vaseline is petroleum, doesn't break down, so it's not the best substance to use internally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's not sterile then I wouldn't advise it!. If you're nervous or dry then just take deep breath, relax, and I've found having a little play before helps inserting tampons!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
No!. Use a water-based lube or even some spit!.!.!. but nothing peroleum-based belongs in there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Use dissolving lubricant instead!.
