Everyone is different, but the best painkillers for period pain are anti-prostaglandins; they "shut down" or "block" the prostaglandins that cause bad cramps!. Aleve (Naproxen) and Motrin (Ibuprofen) are two good choices!. Midol and Pamprin (excluding PamprinMax) contain Acetaminophen (the active ingredient in Tylenol) which isn't all that effective at knocking out cramps!. If your cycle is pretty regular, try taking the recommended dose of Aleve, Motrin, etc!. a day or two before your period is supposed to start!. It helps knock out some of the cramps before they start!. A heating pad/hot water bottle is also helpful!. Good luck and hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
i'm the same way!.!.!. the first 2 days are killer!. the only thing that works for me is Aleve and a heating pad!. drinking lots of water and sometimes going for a walk helps a whole lot too!.
