Why are guys....?!

I know they are so immature about it, especially if they see a tampon in your bag!. They don't have to go through the bloating, cramps, mood swings, migraines and dealing with all the lovely things that come with periods!. They just don't know how miserable it is and so the only way they ever act is immature!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mostly because they have never had any experience with it, and peer pressure when they are young tends to teach them to ridicule anything having to do with girls!. Even the answer here from the guy who wasn't "immature" about it shows some stereotyping -- she's emotional and he buys her chocolates!. This may be fine for individual situations, but it shouldn't be generalized!.

I've had many female friendships in my life, and I've grown very comfortable with this kind of thing, and have even been able to pass information from one set of friends to another without thinking anything of it!. Heck, I even gave my wife tampon and pad advice at one point, and encouraged her in getting her endometriosis diagnosed and treated!.

I'm told I'm very unusual that way, but I'd have to say it's familiarity and willingness to take it as a serious friend issue rather than a "girl thing"!. The general behavior of guys in this situation is one of the things that makes me sometimes wish I could renounce my gender -- they can be so idiotic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not all guys are immature about it!. Guys just think it is very disgusting when a girl is on her period because of the blood discharge!. Some guys just don't know how to act, so they act immature about it!.

Some guys though, will be nice to you, because they know that you will be very emotional about it!. Sometimes when my gf is on her period, I just complement her or buy her chocolates!. She really enjoys it and it makes her really happy!. I don't immature about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most guys are freaked out by the whole concept of a period and all the innerworkings of the female body!. Their plumbing is totally different than ours, and they are freaked out because they don't understand all that is going on with our bodies!. Most guys just act like dorks rather than admit they are freaked out!. Laughing makes it more comfortable for them!. As guys get older, or when they are married/dating someone for a long while, some of them get less freaked about it!. I know my last boyfriend was always really cool about it (mainly because he was super-paranoid about pregnancy, and he knew it was a sign I wasn't pregnant)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My fiance' is actually really supportive of it and knows that during that time he needs to be extra nice to me, and if I become irritable he lets me ***** and vent!. :) Most guys are just simply grossed out about it!. But that doesn't stop them from wanting to have sex with us all the time!. haha I've actually heard that men experience a hormonal change once a month like we do!. Kind of like a male period, but without the grossness!. I wish they could all have their period just one time!.!.!.just to see how uncomfortable it is and how even though it's painful, it's a fact of life and not something completely disgusting!. I agree with Syd Sells!. Although, I know many guys (such as my husband) who still hasn't matured about it!. It really irks me when a tampon commercial comes on and he says "Why do they show this disgusting crap, do you we really need to watch details about periods!?"
