i been on my period for about a year now and pads suck i want to ask my mom for tanpons but kinda nervous whats the best way to ask her!?
i also want birth controll because i so want shorter periods but am i too young im only 13!?

Tell her you want to try something new!. Plus tampons are more sanitary and cleaner than pads!. U can go in a pool with a tampon and u can also flush it down the toilet wich u cant do with a pad!.!. so those are some facts that u can share with ur mom and a reason to buy tampons!.!.!. with the birth control all i can say Is that i wouldnt recomend if ur not having sex!. it changes ur hormones and ur a bit to young!. just wait a little longerWww@Answer-Health@Com
If you're not sexually active you should tell your mom that first, because tampons are known to break your hymen and are uncomfortable for virgins, so if you get them get the thin ones!. Just tell her you want to try tampons, and you want birth control pills so you can shorten your period!. You might not be able to get them because you're so young!. Explain to your mom that one of your friends use tampons and say they're more comfortable (even if that's not true), and that you'd like to try one!. Tell her that you just want to try a small pack (like 3 or so in a pack), so that she's more up to getting them (in case you don't like them later, she's not wasting much)!.
And, in response to the birth control, I don't think many OBGYN's are going to prescribe birth control unless you're in a lot of pain, or have some other more serious worry because of how young you are and how short you've been having your period!. But if you're pretty regular (i!.e!., every 28 days or every 32 etc,) then you can still try to go in and see if they'll prescribe some for you!. (Of course, you'll have to talk to your mom about it first again!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would simply ask her if you could try tampons and if she says no give reasons like you want to be able to go swimming or pads are bulky or are uncomfortable when your wearing your jeans (!?)!. If that doesn't work you could always buy them yourself if you have the money!.

I wouldnt ask your mum , i would just tell her that you want to change to tampons!. Its simple and its your choice at the end of the day isnt it!? I understand that you are young but its your body and its what you feel comfortable with!.
As for birth control, you need to be sure that you want it for the right reasons and make sure that your mum believes you because as a mother it is a very nerve racking question for ones 13 yr old daughter to ask to be put on that!.

13 is a bit young for birth control, the doctor might not give it to you especially since u have only had urs for a year, they usually wait until its a bit more regular in duration and time between and all that because it continues to change for the first few years!.
but with the tampons, just wait until ur mums in a sort of relaxed mood so u wont be scared that she will bite ur head off, and just casually bring it up like "so mum i was wondering if maybe i could start using tampons" or something like that!. u could even write her a note so u dont have 2 say it to her face and put it in her bad or on her pillow, thats what i used 2 do!.

My say is that your never too young to get birth control pills, but my suggestion is that you dont take them!. The pill can have side effects such as loss of hair, rashes "down there" and when you do get your period it wont be blood, it would most likely be a brownish version!.

Just ask!. Your mom's a women, she'll understand!.!.!.at least about the tampons!. As for the birth control, you may have to wait until your mom stops hyperventilating before you can explain why you want it!. Approach her in a factual way after you do as much research as possible on which birth control would be best suited for you!.

just ask your mother she will understand let her know you would like to try tampons you feel cleaner you don't like the idea of the pad fill with blood and as far as the birth control goes please let your mother know that you would like to take birth control for what ever reason your mother will prefer that you get on the pill and have it explained to you the diff rent birth controls also the diff rent things that can happen without the safety of birth control please let your mother know of your concerns this is the beginning of your woman hood don't go in alone don't start that a mother would love for her daughter to come to her for advice get your advice at home first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just when ur shopping with ur mom and u need pads go down that isle with her and grab tampons she will be like hun those r tapons and u will be like i know mom and then keep walking for the next thing on ur shopping list but the birth contro sorry girl im not so sure bout that one lett me thinkWww@Answer-Health@Com
