The people who are telling you to insert it in the whole where pee comes out are completely wrong and don't yet understand their vagina's!.

Women have three holes in their south regions!.
One is for when you pee!.
One is the hole used during intercourse (This is the one you insert the tampon in)
And the last one is you anus!.

The hole where urine exits your body is too tiny for a tampon to be inserted in, and it's rather hard to see!.

What you should do is insert the tampon into your vagina fairly deep and push it out of the applicator!.
It may be hard to do on the first attempt!.
I used at least ten tampons trying to insert one my first time!.
The string will hang out so you can easily pull it out!.
After a couple hours, all you have to do is pull on the string!.
You may fear that it will break and the tampon will be stuck inside of you, but tampons are designed so this does not happen, so just give it a strong tug!.
It may hurt a little coming out (not a lot, I promise) but tampons are amazing!.
I would not be able to survive my period without them!.

I also would recommend the slender fit!.
I always use them or sometimes regular ones!.
I do not suggest the super size because I find them REALLY painful to insert and take out and just simply find them uncomfortable even when they're inserted!.

Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you first start using tampons get a box of Playtex SlimFits!. They are made specifically for young teens and first-time tampon users!. They have a plastic applicater for easier insertion, a rounded tip for comfort, and they are the smallest and most slender tampons on the market (They're about the width of your pinky finger!)!. To insert the tampon, use your dominant hand and put your thumb and middle finger on the finger-grips!. Use your other hand to spread apart the lips/labia of the vulva and hold them open while you're inserting your tampon!. Now get into a comfy position for insertion: you can sit down on the toilet, squat over the toilet, or you can stand up with one leg propped up on the toilet!. Do whichever is easiest for you!. Remember to relax your muscles to make insertion more comfortable and easier!. If you're nervous your muscles will tense up and make insertion really difficult!. When you're ready to insert, you should use the tip of the applicater and hold it at your vaginal opening!. Then, gently push the applicater inside of your vagina while angling the tampon a little bit upwards, and then to the back towards your tailbone!. Keep pushing the tampon in until the finger-grips are right outside of your vagina!. After that, put your pointer finger on the skinny plunger and push it into the bigger applicater which is already inside of your vagina!. Once the skinny plunger is pushed in completely, you can grab the finger-grips and pull out the applicater and toss it in the trashcan!. The string will be left hanging outside of your body, so you can tuck that into your underwear!. You should never feel any pain while using a tampon, when inserted correctly you shouldn't be able to feel the tampon at all!. By the way, you should type your question into the Yahoo Answers search bar BEFORE posting your question - this question has been answered many times before!. Anyways, after using tampons for 2 or 3 years, I strongly recommend switching to a menstrual cup because they are healthier, cheaper, more reliable, stronger protection, no risk of TSS, and are better for our environment!. Have you tried reading the directions!?

Below your clit or before the skin that separates your vagina from your rectum (butthole) is the hole you should be placing it in!.

I would recommend sitting down on the toilet as you would if you were to use it, with your legs open, and place the opening of the tampon there, with the top part of it lowered a little, since the tampon will be going upward!. Take your time and push it gently!. Since it's your first time it may take a slight force for it to get up there, but it should, and when both rings of the applicator tubes are aligned with each other, then remove it from your hole!. :)

For taking it out, you should wait for 4-6 hours, or depending on how heavy your blood flow is!. Sit down again the way you did when you were putting it in, and take the string and tug on it slightly but firmly!. It'll hurt a little because it's been expanded, but you will get used to it, and soon it won't hurt!.

Try regular first to get started and get over any nervousness!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. Just relax and sit down on the toilet!.

2!. Take a tampon and the directions out of the box!.

3!. Read the directions and try to find the hole that you pee out of!. LOL!.

4!. Push the tampon up until it is all the way in, and just the string is hanging out!.

The directions are always more descriptive, and tampax even has pictures!. I would definitely recommend Tampax!. They have small ones that are made for first time users and easy to get in!. But if your flow is heavy, i would recommend using regular or super!. If you're not ready to put in a regular, use a pad until your flow is light enough to try small ones, and then get used to those and work your way up!.

tampons are one of the best things since sliced bread

ok where you pee comes out the little hole is right there

if you move the tampon around until you hit a little deep spot you've got the hole!
or of course you could just read the instruction thing thats actually in the tampon boxWww@Answer-Health@Com

There's a website that clearly describes how to put one in!. I left you the link below!. (The thing that describes it is on the far right side of the screen when you click the link!.)
