Hi Francesca!

Welcome to womanhood! When you first start having periods, they can be very irregular for up to a year until your body gets into the habit!. Thee are a lot of things that have to come together for a period: hormones, egg release from the ovary, messages from the brain!.!. All women have a little discharge every day - that is what keeps us clean so we don't get yeast infections!.

As your periods get more regular, you will know the signs and what to do to help feel your best!. Sometimes I get really warm also - thats those hormones again!. Sometimes I get headaches too: usually because I get stressed very easy coming on my period, or will just cry at everything!. Its all normal!.

You didn't say how long you have had a sore throat, but that is usually a sign of a virus (cold or flu) which can cause headaches too!. For that, you should tell your Mom and see a Dr to make certain you don't have strep-throat which can make you very ill without giving you a high temperature!. If you have a rash or anything then you NEED to see a Dr right away!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i wouldnt worry too much about this!. it takes several years for a girl to experience regular periods and for the body to get on a schedule!. i dont think your feeling ill because you havent had your period in a while!. you may want to get yourself checked out by your doctor in case you have the flu or something!. discharge is also normal, don't be concerned!. talk to your mom, aunt, big sister, or even a school nurse about your concerns more!. they may be able to talk to you better if you tell them more details or they will be able to ask you questions!. see a doctor if you start to feel more sick, you could have a cold or something, but don't worry so much, this seems perfectly normal!. good luck, hun!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't worry to much about your periods, it can take a good five years or so to get it regular!. The dry throat and headaches sound like dehydration!. We all need plenty of water, and while your body is going through such dramatic changes you need to keep yourself healthy!. Try the water thing for a week or two, if you don't notice any difference, see your doctor as you may have strep throat or glandular fever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you have only just started having your periods then they will not be so predictable as if you have been having them for a few years and maybe thats why you have some of the things like headaches and heating up

also when you go on birth control it will help you regulate your period

im sure your mother can help you if nothing else

edit: sorry about the only girls thing im 13 year old boy but i know these things they are useful to know with girlsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well darling anything u feel during that time is bec of it so just wait until u finish it and u'll see that everything goes after it finishes!.
you will experience also :
Bad cramps
Pain in the back
Discomfort
Mood swings
Desperation
and other annoying things

so just drink lots of water and exercise and have a good diet so it's more bearable
