How soon can I stop using a condom?!

Question: How soon can I stop using a condom!?
I'm going to start taking birth control after my next period, and I wanted to know how soon I could not worry about using protection from pregnancy!. Neither me or my partner have any STDs we've been checked!. But I don't know when I could not worry about using a condom or pulling out, anybody know!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First things first!. Pulling out is NOT an effective method!. Pre-ejaculation can contain sperm, so you can get pregnant even if your boyfriend doesn't orgasm while he's inside you!.

Now, the pill is supposed to be effective starting 14 days after you begin to use it!. So you should be safe if you take it for 2 weeks!.

However, is it worth the risk!? I'm 23, graduating college next week, in a long term, amazing relationship!. All things considered, I could have, and support, a child if need be!. However, it's not worth the risk, even for me!. My boyfriend and I STILL use a condom every single time, even though I've been on the pill for almost 2 years!.

Also remember: In order for the pill to be effective at the 99% rate it claims to be, you must take it the SAME TIME every day!. Even if you vary by 1 or 2 hours, the pill loses its efficiency!. It's nearly impossible to remember to take it at the same time every day, so I set an alarm on both my phone and my boyfriend's phone, to be sure I remember!.

With an efficiency of 99%, that STILL means that 1 in every 100 women using the pill CORRECTLY will get pregnant!. If that's not enough to scare you into using a condom every time, I don't know what is!

Good luck and be smart!Www@Answer-Health@Com

first of all, pulling out is not an effective birth control method!.!.!. those things swim!. also, there's pre-ejaculate that contains sperm that neither of you may even notice!.

ask your doc when they expect that your bc will be effective!. some people say you can stop using a condom fairly early, others say you should wait a month!. maybe check the website for the pill you're on!.

glad you're being smart and you both got tested before you stopped using protection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the only time it's safe not to use a condom is if you plan on having a baby!. I know the pill is great and everything but something might happen!. you shouldn't just rely on one form of birth control to prevent pregancy!. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM! there shouldn't be a difference in the pleasure you both recieve!. I mean is soo thin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just read somewhere that the pill takes a month at least!. But just ask your doctor or pharmacist to be sure!. Or you can always google the name of your birth control and there should be information somewhere out there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A week should be enough, enjoy!Www@Answer-Health@Com
