Yaz is very safe but like every other drug there are side effects
A large clinical trial involving 1,027 women, who completed 11,480 treatment cycles, established the safety of YAZ and demonstrated 99 percent contraceptive efficacy!. The clinical trial also found that YAZ provides women with predictable monthly withdrawal bleeding (periods), with breakthrough bleeding rates comparable to other low dose oral contraceptives!. Only 0!.7 percent (7 out of 1,027) of women participating in the clinical trial discontinued YAZ because of irregular bleeding!.
YAZ was well tolerated by the majority of women in the clinical trial!. The most common side effects were similar to other OCs and include upper respiratory infection, headache, breast pain, vaginal moniliasis (yeast infection), leukorrhea (vaginal discharge), diarrhea, and nausea!.
YAZ may increase the risk of stroke, heart attack, blood clots, high blood pressure, or similar problems!. The risk may be greater if you smoke
My doctor told me that the benefits GREATLY outweigh the risks, as long as you don't smoke you really don't have anything to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I love YAZ I am on it too!. No it wont make you sterile you can still have kids!. Its like any otehr birthcontrol just makes it more manageable!. As for horro stories about it!. Look up an asprin you can even hear bad things on those too! I love Yaz!. As for being sterile I told me doctor I wanted one more baby and she said I will be fine! I love mine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You would not believe how many ppl come in and are trying to conceive but since they've been on birth control for so long they are now STERILE or unable to conceive after 10-15 yrs!.
Some women come in with ovarian, uterine and cervical cancer after using birth control their entire life!

i take yasmin and have been on it for 2 years!. its like the same type as YAZ!. and i loooove it! i didnt gain weight just my boobs grew a lil bigger!. the only bad side effects was lots of headaches after coming off of it and starting it makes you feel pregnant!. but it's worth it i loooove iiiitt :]Www@Answer-Health@Com
