Question: I have a question for all the girls out there and girls please be honest!?
does anyone else feel like Jekyll and Hyde during their time of the month, if so what do you do to keep insane!!!!!!!
I'm really in the dumps this month!
and for any guys reading this you don't how lucky you are not having to go through what us females go through every month!.
Please answer honestly and all suggestions welcome!

you mean the crying one minute raging mad the next crazies!? I try to stay away from everyone and just hang out in my room!. The guys(husband dad and 2 sons) in my house know to leave me alone and not expect alot from me and they pitch in and take care of themselves and the house!. i get horrible cramps also so I just pamper myself!. Bubble baths,chocolate, manicure ,I ask for a massage from my hubby ect!. Also I take Pamprin it is the only Premenstral med available over the counter that has something for irritablity!. My husband jokingly calls it my crazy woman pills!. Another med is Doans Backache Pill work great for cramps as it is a muscle relaxer!.

Dont forget we have to deal with a period for a few days everymonth but guys have to deal with random noticeable erections daily from the time of puberty on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ahh, the lovely PMS we all go through!.
The thing that probably helps me de-stress is to exersize!.!.!.
and when people are irritating me or things just seem to be worse then usual, I try my best to ignore it and handle it calmly!.

no i have never felt like this at this time of the month but what i can recamend is that you have a nice long hot bubble bath and get in your night wear and dressing gown and stick on a gd film to watch while drinking a lovly warm cup of tea!.

go buy some cocunut oil (woteva smell you like)when its your time place a little in a bowl under your window in woteva room your in and you will get a sent of cocanut which will calm you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I get my period I go on Yahoo!Answers after I get home from school!. I get all comfy, take an advil or 2 and sit in my bed with my laptop!. Sometimes I even get a hot water pad to soothe my aches and cramps!.

I also for some reason eat oranges!. I don't know why but it works for me!. I just have to eat them and oddly enough I start to feel better!. I know, Im a freak!.

I also just keep my self in my room so I can chill and calm down!. And not go crazy on anyone!.

These are my techniques!. Everyone is different!. Some people can do gym on heavy period days while others can't!. You are YOU!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've had some periods when that describes me perfectly!. I can be happy one minute and someone can do something and I'll be flipping out!. I can be mad at someone and next I'll be crying my eyes out and don't know why!. I remember one time I was probably like 13 and it wasn't too long after I started my getting my period and I wanted to watch some TV before I went to school in the morning, my mom wouldn't let me and I just flipped out and started screaming at her!. I went into my room and started bawling!.!.!. mood swings are not fun!. When I feel like that I just walk away if someone is annoying me or i just go and do something to calm myself down like going for a walk or listening to music!. I haven't discovered anything to make it stop but friends and family have discovered to avoid me when I'm PMSing that badly LOL!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yup!. and not only do us girls have to go through periods, when we have our period, we get extra, extra hungry meaning we eat, meaning we gain weight!!

exercise is a great was to let out all your pumped up anger at everyone lol! amd it keeps off the pounds!. i went to the doctors about this because the pain was un-bearable, and i mean unbearable, id be walking and all of a sudden, id have to sqeeze my stomach!. the doc orriginally thought it was appendicitus, but then he examined me, and just said it was periods like 'oh its just periods' (notice the doc was a man which explains how he could just shrug off period pains!.

he told me to drink lots and lots of water and that also helped too!. he also recommended yoga when i started to get angry at him, he said 'anger gives you wrinkles, why not try yoga, and release all that stress!?' i almost slapped him lol

I'm told evening primrose oil helps with the menstrual mood swings! (I've just been recommended it by a friend who obviously thinks I need to try it!),Www@Answer-Health@Com

try taking midol or the birth control pill yaz!. Both should help with your mood swings!. Talk to your mom about it and see if she is willing to take you to get either one!.!.!.!.its normal and you shouldnt have to deal with it! there are options out there for you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

dnt worry bout it!. take a cuppa camomile tea and chiil in fromt of the tele or read a book for half and hour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

PMT ARGH lol couldn't resist, i used to turn into psycho cow from hell tried herbal stuff but it didn't really do anything, i try to exercise because it does help but it's hard to get motivated when you just want to kill everyone lol!. punchbags work though you can get a lot of stress out just beating the hell out of it, or you could try ignoring everyone (bit hard to do if you have kids though ) a nice relaxing soak in the bath blasting out whatever you listen to is also good (for me it is as only peace i get if kids not at school)

Haven't seen Jekyll and Hyde, but can imagine what you mean!.!. and ye, the pain can be terrible, but there is this amazing pill just availible over the counter - Feminax, it is just a miracle worker, it stops the contractions, and its all healthy but you feel sooo much better, and the whole being down in the dumps thing, i found if you ignore your sugar or food cravings, and just stick to normal meals, and really minimise snacking (although hard at first) your mood is really upliftedWww@Answer-Health@Com

I make sure i get pleanty of sleep, eat like a pig (thats all sorts of naughty junk but feels ooh so good! lol) and make sure ive got a hotwater bottle and painkillers to hand, i like to feel well rested, full and warm lol it does make a difference! Pamper yourself, get scnhuggly and relax for a few days!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get it so bad some months that I actually think I could have PMDD, which is like a much worser case of PMS!. Anger, frustration, tears, tiredness etc!. Ahh the things we girlies have to bear!Www@Answer-Health@Com
