okay this may be gross, but please dont lagh!. okay im 13 years old and i have this problem!. on monday i was changing my clothes then when i look at my undies they had this brwnish thing!.( i know it happens when u poop and do clean urself right but it was in my vagina not my butt)!. uhhh is this a discharge!? could it be my period!? im realy scared and its haping all this week(todays friday) and idk what to do!!!nd im embarrest to tell my mom!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That most definitely sounds like you are starting your period!. If it gets on your underwear or clothes or whatnot, when dry it turns a deep brown color!. If it is that color when you whipe, chances are it isn't in full swing yet!. The brown generally occurs at the very beggin and/or the very end of your time of the month!.
You should probably tell your momma because she can help!. But that is completely up to you!. You should probably put on a pad or tampon as well!. (pads tend to be less scary your first time) so there are no more embarassing stains:D

Just take a pad or a tampon ( for 1st time its recommended to use a pad or small tampon) And it may not even be that heavy or last 5 days for you r 1st one so just listen to your body!.Also Go to www!.beinggirl!.com and they have TONS of good help and tips! Its your first period!. You probably dont have cramps bc it's only your first!. You will get cramps in the future!. Your first period is always brown, and I was afraid to tell my mom too!.
