The Pill AND the Morning After Pill?!

Question: If my girl is on "the Pill", will an aftermorning pill have any effect? Could it reduce chances of pregnancy (if I am not using a condom?)

The morning after pill is a form of emergency contraception and causes an induced bleed therefore usually solves the problem of an unwanted conception, as long as it is used under 72 hours after sex.

The contraceptive pill is a hormonal contraceptive which causes the womb lining to thicken so much so that sperm are very unlikely to reach the egg and fertilise it - as long as the pill is taken correctly and no other factors are present such as sickness/antibiotics..etc

If she is on the pill and takes the morning after pill, she will definitely cause her hormones to be incredibly disrupted. She must certainly not use it regularly, as it is ony used when no contraceptive methods are being used.

If you are not using a condom but she is on the pill, there is more of a chance of pregnancy than with. Don't let her take the morning after pill as pregnancy prevention. It is not certain whether it causes fertility problems as of yet.
