Why does my thyroid problem make me feel so ill?!
Question: I am so fed up with waking up in the morning feeling so ill. It's especially bad if I haven't had a good night sleep. This has been going on for so long now.
I am having thyroid tests this week, they think it is overactive, and I am really scared it is something more as I just feel so bloody unwell.

i have graves disease, an autoimmune disease that causes hyperthyroidism, and i felt so bad everyday. it zaps everything out of the body, vitamins, etc.
i take a low dose med and feel much better.

make a test of thyroid i.e.,(t3 t4 tsh) first as soon as possible......
take care of ur health, by doing this test u come to know that in which stage it is,if it is in initial stage it will be cured in 3 months by using the medicines.,
Having a dodgy thyroid will make you feel ill. The test is so simple I'm surprised you have been suffering for a long time with it. If you are thinking "cancer" then you can be reassured that its very unlikely.
Medication (Carbimazole or similar) will usually bring it under control within a short time, and even if it doesn't there are other treatment options.
