I have had the implanon twice. I am getting my third one put in on friday. I loved it. I have been on the pill recently, to get my hormones back in order after having second baby. That failed. The pill made me really depressed, so i am going back to implanon.
Everyone has side effects to certain things. The risk is low for side effects with implanon. It is 99.9% effective, so no, you definitely should not fall pregnant. It is the safest contraception there is.
The only side effects that i have had was, a bit of irregular bleeding at the start. Once my body got used to it, it was fine.
Seriously though, for someone like me, who is hopeless at remembering any type of contraception, i love the implanon. And if, you do have a reaction, you just have to get it taken out. It is really easy.
