Explain how oestrogen may be used in contraceptive pills to control infertility !

Question: Wait, did you really mean infertility or fertility?

Some people with infertility issues- such as PCOS, take birth control pills to regulate their hormones and cycles... which in turn, can kind of 'jump-start' their entire systems and get things back to how they are supposed to be. Does that make sense? Taking the BCP is sort of an investment in their future reproductive health, and sustaining their reproductive function.

Lol, assignment alert.

All I know is whatever the thingy in the patch/pill is (not sure if it's estrogen) increases the cervical mucous and prevents your ovaries from releasing eggs.

I thnk the word you wanted to use is "Fertility"... Well the female body is tricked by manipulating oestrogen levels to simulate pregnancy.. so ovulation does not occur... therefore no egg for sperm to inseminate.

The pill makes the woman's body think she is pregnant by drastically altering the hormones. The pill can cause infertility according to the information booklet which comes with the pills.
