What do ultrasounds do other than check on the baby?!

It can show the thickness of your uterine lining, cysts on the ovaries, fibroid tumors, some reproductive deformities (but not all), pregnancy, etc

Lots of stuff. I had one when I had a ovarian cyst. It's like a x-ray. They can look inside you to see any problems. I was freaked at how my insides looked too. Who knew a liver was really that big. I mean I took biology but to actually see your own was a little weird.
What kind of ultrasound? Using ultrasound they look at your internal organs. They can see cysts, free fluid, fibroids, check blood flow of vessels...a whole bunch of stuff! They can check your ovaries, uterus, endometrium, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, spleen for problems...it is the best way to visualize all of your female organs.
Ultrasounds are used for alot more than checking on babies. He can look at your ovaries. I had an ultra sound when they were checking my gall bladder. Its just a way to get a look inside the body for many issues.
