Yeah, you can still have a pap smear. I had a yeast infection last month when I went to the gynecologist and he still gave me my pap smear. Just gave me some medicine to fix the yeast infection also. It won't cause it to become abnormal either. My pap smear came back normal. However, abnormal pap smears can come back abnormal for many reasons, not just yeast infections.

And I've never heard that having a yeast infection that long will cause you to not get pregnant. But i'm not a doctor, so I don't know. All I imagine is that it will just cause it to become more worse and irritating.

Edit: Pap smears are NOT the only way they can tell if you have a yeast infection. They see everything. My gynecologist took one look at me before he even gave me a pap smear and said "Yep, you got it". Sometimes they do run a test but a pap smear is not the only way to find out.

No , the yeast infection will obscure the results of the smear test, so it would have to be redone when you don't have a yeast infection.
It won't affect fertility unless it is really bad. Yeast infections are easily treated, there's no reason to suffer with one.

Yes you still can a pap smear. To tell you the truth that's the only way you can really tell if you really have a yeast infections. If left untreated it can lead to other things, but I don't think it can stop you from getting pregnant. But if you really had a yeast infection I'm sure you would've got something for it cause a yeast infection itches and if you haven't treated it at all I know you been itching.

A doc might try to treat it first to see if it goes away. If yeast infection meds don't work he will do a pap to find out what it is. I have not heard anything to suggest that yeast infections impair ability to concieve. Treated or Untreated. Good Luck I hpor this Helped

if you gat a Pap then it may come back as a abnormal Pap test because of a vaginal or cervical infection that causes changes in the cells of your cervix. A yeats infection may temporally cause you not to have kids(while you have it) Becuase of diff. acids and infections and other stuff...Plus you do not need to have sex during a yeast infection can pass it on to your partner.
