Why do people lie about abortion?!
Question: They keep posting inaccurate and misleading info about how painful it is and how much women regret it, blah, blah, blah. Almost every woman I know has had an abortion and went through it just fine with no regrets, so why all the lies about a very safe surgical procedure that is safer than giving birth. Also, the vast majority of women who have had an abortion do not suffer any negative effects that prevent them from getting preggers in the future. So stop with all the lies.

Many people post misinformation to cause fear to those who are contemplating getting one. It's really unfortunate that we have so many ignorant people running around. I am pro-choice, but don't believe that I could personally have an abortion. BUT that's me and that's my choice. I would never tell someone lies to scare them into keeping a baby. It's just sad really.
What they fail to realize is, that most educated people know the truth and make informed decisions when it comes to their health, I doubt many people believe everything posted on Answers.
People lie about abortion because half of the time they are too young to have a child and know their parents would be unhappy with them and they would face a lot of prejudice from everyone who is aware of the situation. So they get an abortion. Simple as.It's their choice in llife and none of your business so stop being so rude about it.

In fact Torrry, an increasing number of abortions are done now with the drug RU486, which is far safer and has virtually no risks (beyond allergy).
The reason why people post the lies is because they are against abortion. It is true that some people have had adverse reations to abortion but that is related to it being a surgical proceedure, and not just related to this proceedure. Any surgery has possible (though negligable and rare) side effects.
In the end, the anti abortionists have no legs to stand on, they want to save an undeveloped feotus, but they don't care at all what happens once the baby is born!
