Really scared....what is this on my vagina???!

Question: I woke up about 5-6 days ago...and i had this really painful red rash down there....its between my anus & it goes up to like the middle of my lips on the side (not inside the vagina on the outside) it hurts really bad to touch it, sit down, or walk!!! and then it turned into red bumps...and then these scrapes appeared & my skin started like shredding/peeling if i touched it (when i got out of the shower)...i still have it but it got alot better but it still hurts some. (i got it right after i got a cold sore on the outside of my mouth, if that means anything?) im really scared =(

I would make an appointment with your doctor to be safe. It doesn't sound like anything that an OTC remedy would be good for, so you need to get a professional diagnosis.

I know it scary to have something like that going on with your body, but with a doctor's care, you should be okay. Going to the doctor as soon as you start having symptoms is the best thing you can do when something like this crops up. They should be able to diagnose and treat you, and you should be just fine with proper treatment.

If you're nervous about seeing the doctor, you could ask for a female, if it makes you more comfortable. In the meantime, I would be careful not to use any soaps or creams on it - just water to clean it.

Probably not life threatening, don't be scared but make an appointment with your doctor just to be sure your okay.

Go in right away while you still have the rash so they can tell what it is. You want to be able to avoid getting it again in the future.

I don't know what that is. Try putting powder on it. If it doesn't get better you really need to see a doctor. They can give you meds to clear it up.

Contact dermatitis. try cortazone cream.

ok. first off........did you have oral sex with anyone? if you had a cold sore on your mouth and gave each other oral sex and kissed or whever the same day, you could get type one HSV herpes. Go to your doctor. It might not be that, its better to be safe than sorry.

If you are sexually active, Id say it might be a little bit of thrush, if it was sort of dry itchy and painful all at the same time, if so you can go to your local chemist and get cream for it, or a pill to take that will get rid of it, but talk to a health professional first just in case, but im sure you will have nothing to worry about, thrush is very common in woman who are sexually active. And if you aren't sexually active it still might be thrush, although not as common, but i know it can happen my 6 year old neise had it.

And by the way DO NOT use cortazone on your vagina it will burn you and make it feel 100 times worse although it could be a little dermititus. like i said go see a doctor

go too the doctors, they will tell you what it is, have you changed your washing powder? it may be that, or if you have had oral sex and you got the cold sore from that then you may have given yourself herpies............

As a women you do not have to be sexually active to have thrush. I would pop along to the doctors and get checked, does it itch? Try some natural yoghurt to ease the soreness but I wouldn't advise using any type of medical cream until you have been checked over.

don't be scared but make an appointment with your doctor just to be sure your okay

DON'T PUT ANYTHING ON IT UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS.!

Go to your doctor. Sounds like herpes or genital warts. Both are highly contagious but treatable. Warts can easily be removed but herpes will need a more long term approach as the virus remains in your blood and can flare up at any time and you could contaminate other people. So you really need to know what you're dealing with

go get it checked out at the docs. put your mind at rest

i know that herpes hurts like hell as you described. i don't think you can pass it from your own mouth to your own vagina. i think it has to be direct skin to skin contact. i don't think it is herpes though because herpes can show up just in one spot (and it reappears there for ever). it sounds like you are inflamed all over.

having it at the same time as your cold sore may mean your immune system was weak.

google herpes and look at the images. google genital warts and look at the images.

DON'T SCRATCH IT!

try going to a free clinic and asking. they would probably be able to tell. and also i know you can purchase specific tests for herpes and genital warts.

go see a doc..
