Tender breasts..?!
Question: Ok, so in the last couple of days my breasts have been pretty tender, maybe even a little swollen. Its the kind of thing i usually experience the week before my period, I just had my period last week though. And I'm pretty sure this is the most tender I've ever felt them. I'm not pregnant (I don't think so anyway??). The last time I had sex was 4 months ago, it was protected and there were no accidents or anything, and I've since had 3 periods. But I've also just started taking the pill in the last couple of months (this is my third month). Could that possibly have something to do with it ?! Help:(

i have almost the same problem.
when you get your period, your body get prepared to get pregnant...and that is probably why your breasts have been sore...a normal woman will produce milk at this time...but you're not pregnant so your breasts are just adjusting.
And also i think the pills and the fact that you've started having sex could be the reason your body is experiencing this uneasiness...

Your period can make you body do some crazy things, and the pill may just be making your breasts extra tender...i find since i started to take the pill mine get extra sensitive and swollen ...which they used to before the pill, but now its more, its all normal
BC can make your breast tender and grow. The hormones in the pill can do some wacky things. It's probably the pill but if you want, take a test just to make sure it isn't an early symptom of pregnancy.
it's probably the pill. if you want to be sure, take a home pregnancy test. i know some women bleed when they're pregnant, but i'm sure that's not the case w/ you. i always think it's best to be safe. that totally sounds like pill side effects.
its due to birth control pills
As others on here have said it's more than likely the pill that's causing breast tenderness. It may settle down after a while but when this happened to me my doctor suggested taking capsules of oil of evening primrose (1,500mg a day) or starflower oil capsules. The evening primrose did the trick and I never had any further breast tenderness or pain, even when I had periods. Of course, they may not work for everyone, but it might just be worth a try?
