You need to make sure that you are wearing panties that are large enough to keep the pad in place (little bikinies and thongs don't work) and you can also buy pads that have "wings" on them, they wrap around the cotton part of the crotch of the panties to help hold them inplace-- and you might want to try getting a soft towel or bed pad to put under your bottom while you are sleeping, so it doesn't leak onto your sheets when you are sleeping.

Also, to get the blood out of your sheets-- pour hydrogen peroxide on the blood and then wash them in cold water--

I know you are only 12, but if you are close to your mom, you might also talk to her about learning to use tampons-- they make them in all sizes, even very small-- they help eliminate a lot of leaking and let you sleep without worrying and you can participate in sports and swimming and stuff without worrying about the blood or leaking.

use night time pads. like the ones that are longer..
hope I helped

You can wear pads to bed and sleep in them.

by the longer pads or move them down more..depends how bad it is

i get the kotex extra long pads- is it because the pad is full or because of gravity and the way you sleep- it misses the pad?

if the pad is full then u will either have to get a thicker pad or wake up in the nignt to change it

if its missing the pad the longer pads should help- if all else fails wear two to cover more area

yup i remember that.
when you first start the flows are extremely extremely heavy
wear those really big, long, maxi pads they work!

You need to get your mum to buy you some OVERNIGHT pads or heavy flow ones.
ALSO put a clean, dry pad on just before bedtime.
This happens to so many women overnight as you spend so long asleep and of course don't get a chance to change the pad, unless you go to the toilet during the night.

Im 13 I just got my period for the first time last month. First of all make shure you have your pads on right. Second if u do u might need to buy thicker ones. If you already have thicker pads put just a little bit of toliet paper underneeth before you put a pad on. to get rid of the stain soak your underware in cold water for about 15 min. Then use stain remover next time u do wash.

Juse the long ones, when you go to sleep they work better..

use the night pads, and the long ones. they help when i first started i always got stains really high up so yea i used the long ones. also the night ones are thicker. if you want you can use a tampon

There are some good suggestions in the previous answers. In addition to those, make sure your undies are snug enough to hold the pad up close to your body while you are sleeping. If they are too loose, and the pad is not staying where it should be, that could be part of the problem. I suggest you get some white cotton undies (Hanes Her Way or similar) that can be bleached, to wear just during your period so you don't mess up your pretty ones. Also, wet the stain with cold water and let it sit a minute before you throw them in the wash. Good luck.

Personally, I suggest getting a menstrual cup instead. Once you learn how to use them properly, you can't feel them and they don't usually leak.

If you don't want to do that, I suggest getting a pair of underpants that you wear ONLY during your period at night, and also a blanket you're not afraid to get bloody, and keep the blanket between your legs at night. Actually there are people who sleep without underwear or pads and just keep a blanket between their legs. I know a lot of people will think that's disgusting, but it does work if you're comfortable with it.

Another suggestion is to position the pad right. Instead of putting it in your underwear first position it between your legs first then pull up your underwear. Put it where its going to be comfortable and catch it all.

Time time pads
Well fitting knickers
And if your comftable, wear a tampon, very clean, no mess (y)
