Why am I always so tired?!?!
Question: I'm almost 18, and most days after school I feel so worn out. I just don't feel like doing anything, and I get headaches and stuff. Sometimes I don't even know how I make it through the day. I usually get my full 8 hours of sleep. I take vitamins and even iron every day...why do I feel like this? How can I gain more energy?

Causes for fatigue include, but is not limited to:
- dehydration
- poor nutrition (don't rely only on supplements)
- too much caffeine
- depression
- boredom
- too much sugar
- not enough exercise (the less you do, the less you feel like
doing)
- insufficient daylight or sunlight
- not enough fresh air
- loneliness
- excessive alcohol consumption
- stress
- not doing well in school
- not performing well in sports
- not living up to your own expectations OR your perception of
society's expectations of you
- mono
- iron deficiency/anaemia
- excessively heavy menstrual flow
- etcetera, etcetera
Hopefully this list helps you, otherwise, see your doctor.
You may be anemic or stressed maybe? Go and ask your doctor and have a blood test..
Do a blood test for trace minerals like iron and magnesium.
Some advice: don't drink a lot of water right after and during lunch. Have a glass of red wine, or some dessert! Sugar and (some) alcohol are the fastest ways to recharge yourself!
Your diet is all i can think of.
Make sure your getting a balanced diet.
Take vitamins, but don't rely on them.
Perhaps Boost? Its a nutrition drink. Not sure if you'll like it. I don't, but everyone around me seems to find the chocolate one apealing...
