Is it normal for my period to last more than 5 days on yaz?!

Question: This is going to be my third month on yaz, and I don't think it is working, because I had some spotting a couple days ago before my period, and it seems not to be going away, but it is getting somewhat lighter. Is this normal since I am using yaz? or Do I need to switch to another birth control?

When I first started it, mine were about 4 days. I have been on it 4 months, and seriously this last one was only 2 days. Give your body time to adjust. It really does make a difference. If after about 6 months you are not happy, then you may want to switch.

yes it;s normal.

Yes Its okay some of them last for two weeks ARE MORE BUT After day ten see a doctor so far so good you will be fine

probably switch to another birth control..because your not supposed to have your period but once a year on yaz, and unless this is your once a year, its abnormal, not effective. Good luck luv

I heard its normal to have spotting but so much? Everybody is different though. U should still tell the GYN about it
Hope this helps a bit

Very common for breakthrough bleeding when on BC. As for the 5 days, that's also common.
Did you miss a day or late in taking it?
You should try to take them at the same time everyday.

yes its normal.......dont worry its kuz of the birth control.ur body had to get use to it.
