Answers: she hasn't had her period in 2 months

It's not abnormally young, I'm afraid.

Dr. James Jeah MD

No, that's not too young. I went through it at age 33.

Not abnormal at all.

Some wwomen get "premature menopause", I knew a woman with a severe case of it, getting it at 23

its normal...every woman is different and every woman's body is acting different

no,(can u stay at hotel)lol,43 is right on time just try to help, don't be toupset with her when she has her moods, she will.

It's probably peri menopause. My mom started at about 43...

My friend started menopause when she was 37, so it's not really that young. Get her to talk to her doctor and see what they say.

My periods started going haywire at 39. It's not unusual. Are you sure she isn't pregnant though?

Menopausal symptems can last for years.

No, that is not too young. The first real sign is that you start skipping periods. She may have had other symptoms like hot flashes and night sweats for a while before this happened.

The onset of menopause is called perimenopause. It can last for months or years. It isn't considered full menopause until she hasn't had a period for a year, or until a blood test reveals that she's not producing the follicle hormones anymore.

If her symptoms are really bugging her, a visit to the discussion forums on this site will at least show her she's not alone. Just ignore the ads for the vitamins they're hawking:
