Breast tenderness is a well recorded side effect of Implanon, which I am afraid is one of my least favourite forms of contraception anyway!

You might be helped by high dose evening primrose twice daily, but the better option ma be to have the implant removed.

My advice - go to a different doctor.

That happens sometimes. Not much for it, really. I find that binding them helps a bit for bed. I wrap them up in an ace bandage, then put on a sports bra to sleep in.

Are you pregnant? That's exactly how mine felt each time. I couldn't walk without them being sore. I didn't see the part about you being on contraceptive. Did you know that contraceptives fool your body into thinking that it's pregnant so as not to send down an egg. Perhaps you are having sore breasts for this reason.

definitely a side effect of your hormone implant...it may improve with time. Evening primrose oil is best but takes a few months to work...you must take a high dose at least 1000mg per day..if it is a sharp stabbing pain in one area it may be mastitis or a milk duct problem that could need anti-biotics. see your gp in that case...feldene gel may help with the pain until the EP oil kicks in.

Fluid retention in breast is very serious, it accompany many conditions and the most dangerous is Fibrocystic Breast Condition.

so go to another doctor but this time pay attention to him/her.

I don't know why but some women after child birth and do not wish to breast feed take cabbage leafs and place on the breast. they say it helps dry them up and takes away some of the pain of not nursing. it might work for you in some way. It does sound crazy but they say it works, the wife used to work on the floor and would often order them for some of the people. heck cabbage is what maybe 79 cents a lbs in some areas what the heck worth a try. don't you think?

Girl trust me this happens. It will pass though. It will be even longer if you have big ones. That happened to me but it went away I'm a 36C.
