How long does it take to recover and heal from a c-section and tubal ligation do!

Question: The tubal won't add to your healing time. Its going to be a few weeks before you are able to get around without really "feeling" it, but hang in there!

i think about two months

about 3 months.. cause l had a tubaligation done to

4-8 weeks. get well soon

i had the same thing, took me about three weeks
but Doc says six weeks to be safe.

It really isn't anymore then if you had just the c-section which is about 6 weeks.

I just had mine done 8 weeks ago. To be totally honest I was ready to go willingly to the store and run errands go visiting etc at about 3 weeks after the procedure. The outer scar had healed at that point. I still had quite a bit of abdominal achy pain from them pulling the muscles to the side to get to the uterus. At this point I don't have any pain or discomfort. Still get tired a bit easier then "normal" but then I'm also up all night with a colicy breastfed baby so I can't just pass her off to daddy and get some sleep!

I've had 3 c-sections, and had a tubal ligation done with the last one.

I noticed no difference in healing time at all, and was actually pretty mobile after 2 weeks. Just couldn't lift anything heavier than the baby for 4-6 weeks.

To fully heal from a c-section it takes at least 1year can also be longer. Your body has been through a massive surgey stomach sugerys take a while just becasue u get released in 8 weeks dosent mean your healed. My son is 2 and im still healing. you may also always have numdness, it depends every women is alitte different on that but sometimes it can last for the rest of your life.

Recover...as far as what? The amount of time it takes to stand up properly? To cough or sneeze without the aid of a pillow brace on your belly? The amount of time in which the scar fades?

Most of the above depends upon your pain tolerance. Realistically, you should feel normal within 3-5 days. The doctor will probably tell you 8 weeks to do anything strenuous.

I, however, went back to work after 1 1/2 weeks after both being done at the same time; however, I worked as a mortgage loan officer and was able to do most of my work on the telephone. I only waited the extra time due to taking pain med's (percocet). Due to driving and such.

In addition, excess scar tissue may develop due to engaging into strenuous activities too soon.
