I am 15 and i think i my have a UTI.... Please answer never had one before so no!
Question: Hello my name is Mackenzie i am 15 and i have a question! I think that i may have a UTI but i am not sure! If I do have a UTI then is it possible that it will turn into a kidney infection! How long does it take a UTI to develop into a Kidney infection! Also is there anyway to check to see if you have a UTI without going to the doctor! I hate going to the doctor! I plan on going to the doctor on tuesday because i am out of school that day but i am scared thatit will turn into a kidney infection and i will have to stay in the hospital! What can I do! ANd besides my parents won't be back in town until tuesday and i cannot drive myself! My symptoms are pain and burning when i urinate, upset stomach, headache, slight fever, and pain in my lower back! Thanks for all of your help!!

Sounds like a UTI.
It takes a good while to turn into a kidney infection my doctor says.
Drink a lot of water, and cranberry juice. Apple cider vinegar helps too.
It should be ok in the meantime, but I would highly suggest at least calling your doctor and ask what you should be doing in the meantime.
You should definitely see a doctor as soon as possible though, he can give you medication to help.
it probably won't turn into a kidney infection. just drink cranberry juice, lots of fluids, and take care of yourself.
It sounds like you do have a UTI and a uti is an infection of your bladder and kidneys, basicly your urinary tract. Drink lots of water, and try to get some cranberry juice, that will help until you can get to the doc to get an antibotic. Hope all gets better soon hon
