Period hungers?!


Question: I often get hungry a lot when I am on my period. I don't gain any weight, I just eat more fruits and veggies and sometime chocolate.. are there any other women like me? and how do you keep yourself full?

As long as your weight is stable and you are not overdoing the chocolate relax and don't worry about it. Chocolate cravings are common. Eating extra fruit and veggies is a good idea.
I usually drink more, tea rather than water is it's just as good for hydration and contains antioxidants that water doesn't. Recent research shows that tea doesn't have the diuretic effect previously thought so is just as hydrating as water. I generally feel more full when I drink tea compared to water, maybe because I react to my drink having a flavour.
I satisfy my chocolate cravings with rich bitter dark chocolate as the flavour is so much more intense and chocolaty I don't need to eat as much of it.

I personally drink about a pint of water before every meal because it feels you up. instead of eating loads and you dont feel as hungry. and also it quenches your thirst. Report It

    Well, if you're not gaining weight, then go for it! if you have a craving, it's your body telling you that you need something in whatever it is that you're craving. when i'm on my period, i crave Salads. Just iceberg lettuce with dressing. :) It's because of the vitamins your body loses. :) Listen to your cravings. Even if they tell you that you want pickles and mayo or icecream with ketchup. Your body knows what it needs. :)
