Girls Only Please!!"""" I'm nervous...?!

Question: about trying to masturbate...I've read just about everywhere that it is normal & natural, but I'm rather shy (...it might DOOM me)...I know all the technical book 'instructions', but has anyone else been nervous about trying? & if you have, umm, do you have any 'tips'......oh, I'm 18...virgin(lol, if that's not really apparent yet)

There is no "book of rules" for masturbation. It's just whatever feels good for you. If you try it, no one has to know unless you tell them. The more you read about it, the more overwhelming it seems. Just relax, spread your legs, and explore yourself. LoL! It doesn't hurt anything (unless you maturbate with objects that can do harm).

I emailed you back about the questions you asked me personally. Hopefully it helps. I hope I don't sound like I was judging you because I wasn't. I get those kinds of questions all the time. Honestly, I want to be a sex therapist, but I can't unless I go back to school for a social therapy degree or whatever. (I'm working on my nursing degree now.)

Thank you everyone, I'm going to try & not think about it too much & just try to learn about myself for a change...thank you for all the thoughtful answers!! Report It

  • Just do what feels good. Forget the book; nobody knows your body any better than you.

First time? Make sure you are completely alone in the house with NO prospect of anybody returning for awhile. NOW you can relax and really be with YOURSELF.

If anything you read caused you to be aroused, try that technique first. Otherwise, if you have even imagined wanting to try something specific, try THAT first.

Open your mind, allow yourself to welcome the sensations, and be patient enough to allow the sensations to GROW. Eventually, and you WILL know when it happens, you will climax!

Don't worry if you can't do it right away. Be patient with yourself. First timers can often meet with success with a vibrator or bath faucet because you can basically lay back and let the sensations build with very little effort on your part, AND, you can play a fantasy in your mind.

better to just do it rather than read about it... you'll think your doing it wrong and you wont be able to feel good.... umm rub your clit :P
