I don't drink.

I can't stand the stuff - I used to drink as a teen when it wasn't the taste that mattered, just getting blathered. I soon grew out of that though and now I never drink - didn't drink on my hen night or at my wedding - people do seem to have a hard time with this, they look at me like I'm some sort of freak when I tell them I don't drink.
If you really don't want to for whatever reason then the people around you will just have to accept it. Why should you have to come up with stories to justify yourself?

Because you don't want to.

Be honest.

best option is to just say you don't want a drink as it makes you feel ill.

if you can't do that, tell him you're on antibiotics for a tummy bug or something.

Well you could be honest ....
docs excuse ...you have a fatty liver ...so no booze allowed and you have to be careful what you eat ...

why do you feel the need to lie to your BF? just say as you haven't been eating properly alcohol makes you feel sick x

The best lie is to tell the truth. If you dont want to drink then don't drink. It's that simple.

Tell him that your stomach does not agree with it. OR, tell him that drinking gives you massive migraines...these are both true in my family. Tell him you are seeing the doctor for your headaches.it is related to umm....periods and food allergies, both are facts.
Tell him the truth, tell him you would rather not drink, because it makes you look like a fool, and you do and say stupid things, and you would rather be in control of yourself..besides, he needs you to take care of him after HE drinks...

theres no reason why you have to drink alcohol so just be honest with him and tell him it makes you feel a bit queasy or something so youd rather avoid it for a while. if hes genuine he will understand. but you need to tell him the truth because without trust theres nothing.
but if you do decide to tell a lie to cover, then you could always try the usual 'im on antibiotics' one.

I am a recovered alcoholic, I went into re-hab for three months last year and have been a member of AA since, I have now been thirteen months without a drink.

The first thing you MUST do is, to ask your doctor why you shouldn't drink, he should have told you this.

You could have become intolerant to alcohol, or you could have a problem with your liver.

One of the wonderful things about your liver is that it can take an awful lot of battering before it gives up. It is one of the few organs that can repair itself, mine is now as good as new after fifty years of abuse, but don't gamble on it, my wife died when she was fifty through liver failure caused by alcoholism.

When you know why the doctor has told you not to drink, that's when you can tell your boyfriend, the AA program of recovery teaches that total honesty is the best.

If you want to 'bend' the truth a titchy bit, there is an easy answer.

It is a medical fact the body of an alcoholic is different to the body of a non-alcoholic, in that it exhibits an allergic reaction to alcohol, this is one of the reasons a person becomes an alcoholic in the first place.

So, while I'm not for one minute suggesting you are an alcoholic, but saying you have become allergic to it, I think is a fair answer.

just be real about the situation thats all a person can do and whoever doesnt like it then oh well. they can either love me and continue to date me or hate me and not talk to me. if you were pregnant then you shouldnt be drinking anyway but i think you know that. just tell him that you're not able to handle alcohol and that your body is not able to hold it in. TELL THEM TO STOP ASKING WHY ITS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS

If you really like this guy and he really likes you, he should like you the way you are drinking or not. If you really dont want to drink just tell him you dont. Im sure he wont have a go at you or anything and if he does hes not woth it. You should tell him you went to the doctors as well, unless you deem it not important.

Be honest with him and tell him you can't drink because it makes you sick. Period.

Lies in a relationship are bad. Think how you would feel if he lied to you.

Just tell your boyfriend the truth

You can't run a relationship based on lies.

You could tell him that your a diabetic although telling the truth would be easier.

you dont have to tell him.. just say if he loves you he will stop asking! xx
