What is the difference between 2week contact lenses...1month or 1 day.?!
Question:
What is the difference between 2week contact lenses...1month or 1 day.?
Which are better for your eyes, which are cheaper? I have a stigmitism and work in a very dry hospital.
I asked what kind of contacts to get on an earlier post and got some great answers...just not sure what length of time to get them now...
thanks

In my opinion, you can't beat 1 day for comfort. There is no protein buildup, and the newest 1 day from Acuvue is really comfortable (Acuvue Moist 1 Day). However, it doesn't come in astigmatic (toric) correction. However, if you don't have much astigmatism, your doctor may try a spherical equivalent (a lens without astigmatism correction).
As far as toric lenses go, our doctor prefers Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism, which is a 2-week planned replacement lens, which means you remove them every night and discard them after 2 weeks (not wear them for 2 weeks straight)
Toric lenses are usually the most expensive (sorry).
