Have I developed an eye allergy from wearing contacts? Please help! Quick 10!?!
Question: Have I developed an eye allergy from wearing contacts? Please help! Quick 10!?
I've been wearing Acuvue contact lenses since I was 15 years old, and I am now 20 years old (next month). A few months ago, my contacts started making my eyes burn, but they would be fine in the morning. I figured I was just wearing them too long. The slowly got worse and eventually I couldn't even put on my contacts anymore without my contacts burning.
I went to my eye doctor. He gave me these eye drops that were a yellow liquid to use for a while, along with Systane eye drops. It helped, and after about a month and a half, my eyes were back to normal and I was able to wear contacts again. I got a new contacts case and switched to a new pair of contacts.
After about two-three weeks of wearing contacts, my eyes started to burn again. Now I am back to square 1. Every time I put on contacts, my eyes burn terribly.
I was thinking I might have developed an allergy to contacts? Maybe? If you have any other ideas for what might be the problem I'd love some input! I do plan on visiting my doctor, but I'd simply like some ideas for what COULD be the problem, okay? It's greatly appreciated! :)

Have you switched your cleaner? Switched to generic? Changed soaps for your hand washing?
