If you have astigmatism, can you wear opaque color contacts?!
Question: If you have astigmatism, can you wear opaque color contacts?
The ones that completely change your eye color, that is.
My mother is saying that I can't because I have astigmatism, so the opaque contacts would "blind me". Is this true? I'm pretty sure she was never very knowledgeable in that department anyway.
I'm looking into buying non-prescription color contacts, I know a place to get them. I can't really explain right now why I need them though. My eyes are teal gray and I need sky blue.

Answers:
No...it's not true. Contacts are fitted by your eye shape not by any ocular conditions you have. I have an astigmatism and wore the very first colored contacts made by Wesley Jensen. In jade!
Best wishes!
