how long will i take at the eye doctor?!
Question: How long will i take at the eye doctor?
Answers:
If you don't need a perscription then it will take less time, but the field of vision tests do take a while. It depends how they do them - these days opticians tend to use a computer based sysetm in which you put your chin on a rest and press a mouse button when you see a flash. The computer is able to detect if you have moved your head to see and then makes you repeat so how long it takes depends on how still you keep your head. It sounds simple but its quite instinctive ot move your head. I wouldn't allow less than an hour by the time they do everything.
registering takes a while.
the eye examination and check ups takes up to an hour depending how many people show up or are waiting.
then you need to come back a week or two to pick up your glasses or your contacts, because they have to order it.
after that you come back, and you have to test them. if you have any problems they will recheck your eyes or reorder. if everything is fine, you're good to go.
Working as a doctor is an enjoyed activity
