I accidentally slept with my contacts on and they didn't stick to my eyes (!
Question: I accidentally slept with my contacts on and they didn't stick to my eyes (which is good) but why?
Answers:
they would be likely to stick to your eye because they dried out. this isnt' the real risk of sleeping with contacts in though - a few drops fixies this problem. Long term if you keep sleeping in lenses or overwearing them then your eyes get deprived of oxygen and there are few symptoms of that. It also threatens your eyesight and future ability to wear lenses. So sleeping in them once isn't a major disaser , but dont' think this means that constantly doing it might be o.k.
There is no rule that says they HAVE to stick to your eyes , but very often they will.
It depends what brand you are wearing also. Some brands can be slept in when needed without problems.
Remember though , if you slept with them all night , that reduced the total wearing time by a day , so now your lenses will be due to be replaced a day faster
